ASTRO System Technology News |
|
|
The world seems to continue to stand in lockdown in 2021 and is still under enormous constraints. We are pleased that the construction and installation industry continues to function very well.
Nevertheless, we are of course also somewhat restricted in some areas. Presumably, the trade fair business will not start up again so quickly. However, in order to ensure a good exchange and professional presentation here, we created a virtual trade fair for you. On top we are available for you with our complete team via video call, so you can easily meet us at the digital trade fair. Take advantage of this opportunity. Please contact us and our teams will arrange an appointment for a video call with you.
We hope you will enjoy our digital presence! Stay healthy!

ASTRO goes virtual - first manufacturer with own digital trade fair concept |
|
There is no getting around the multiple, sometimes very drastic effects that the Corona virus has brought with it this year and will continue to bring, whether economically, politically and, of course, in everyday life together. Conversely, no development in recent years has had so much potential to bring about positive changes as well. For the economy, especially in the areas of "new work" and digitization.
Due to the cancelled trade fair events in 2020 without replacement and the in some cases severely restricted sales activities due to bans on visits, we at ASTRO have been looking for other ways to reach our customers, partners and of course potential new customers.

You'll find videos on common topics from installers, info on our headend and professional optics technology. Download the brochures you are interested in and if needed leave us a message and we will contact you directly.
Of course you can also request your trade show give-away.

U 159-O: Ultra dense IP to QAM modulation with stand-alone housing and extended operational temperature range |
|
Based on the U 100 head-end series, the U 159-O IP to QAM signal converter offers ultra-dense QAM modulation for cable TV networks with sophisticated features. The special thing about it: the design of the U 159-O is already created as a complete 19 inch device and does not require any further housing. The field of application goes beyond normal network rooms and cabinets. With its special design, the U 159-O can be used in all outdoor areas in street cabinets. The signal converter has all connections at the front and can cope with all kinds of outdoor temperatures without any problems. The U 159-O can optionally be configured with optical output.
Modulation facts for the IP to QAM signal converter
- 64 QAM output channels
- hardened outdoor version 19", 1 RU
- standard delivery: 16 MPEG-TS over IP to 16 QAM channels
- NIT processing
- RTP
- IGMPv3
- 1 SFP port
- 48 VDC
- maximum configuration (via license keys): 512 IP (MPEG-TS over IP)

Start with optical transmission technology? - it is so easy |
|
Optical transmission paths are the furture in networking business. Many network operators are already using only fiber technology for the development of new building sites. This is reason enough for the trades to become involved in this topic and to be able to offer this service to their own customers who ask for it.
The basic equipment certainly includes a fiberglass service case (for cleaning and inspection). The ASTRO Toolcase for testing and cleaning of glass fibers contains all necessary simple tools for this purpose. Among other things, it can be used for testing fiber losses, visual fault location, inspection and cleaning of connectors.

Optical compact fusion splicer - for easy splicing |
|
With the new AFS GS60 from ASTRO, splicing optical cables is no longer an issue. The compact splicer is quickly ready for use, has 6 motors core centering and is ideal for FTTH and equally high quality splicing in FO backbones.
It can easily handle fiber types such as MMF/G.651, SMF/G.652, NZ DSF/G.655, BIF/G.657 and Erbium doped fiber (EDF).
The compact splicer has an automatic heating for shrink protection. Handling via the 5-inch touch screen works great.

|
The AFS GS60 is particularly impressive due to its compact design and thus the individual and fast application possibilities. New standard in compact splicers - from ASTRO
